DIYers Top Choice for Temp Control Products is Retailers but Some Shop Internet as Well According to IMR’s CCAMS Study

IMR’s Continuing Consumer Automotive Maintenance Survey (CCAMS) reveals that DIYers (34.1 percent) make the retailer their top choice when they purchase temperature control products. However, one in 10 (10.3 percent) of those surveyed in the CCAMS survey said they purchased their temp control products via the internet.

“Based on our CCAMS surveys, we are seeing more and more DIYers buying parts through the internet,” said Bill Thompson, president and CEO of IMR Inc. “Although retailers still get more than one third of the DIY business when it comes to temperature control products, 10 percent of DIYers feel they have enough knowledge about these products to purchase them directly online.”
