Independent Repair Shops Look to WDs for Filtration Parts for Domestic Vehicles
IMR Inc.’s Repair Shop Tracking Study reveals that over 65 percent of independent repair shops surveyed said that when they purchase filtration parts for the domestic vehicles they service, warehouse distributors are their regular suppliers for these parts.
“Our research reveals that by a two to one margin, WDs are the No. 1 choice for shops on where to buy their filtration parts,” said Bill Thompson, president and CEO of IMR Inc. “Only 31 percent of independent repair shops are contacting retailers for their filtration needs and less than three percent are calling a new car dealer.”
